We have a particular expertise in the pipeline industry, both in regards to emergency management and response, and with all elements of public affairs related to new project development. We also have expertise with the newly enhanced public awareness requirements outlined in Recommended Practice 1162.

Our firm was selected by one of the primary trade industry trade associations, the Southern Gas Association, to develop a "model" Public Awareness plan for its member companies. This comprehensive document was used by more than 25 operator companies as the foundation for complying with the new government standards for communicating key information to a variety of important constituencies, including the general public, emergency response organizations and public officials.

Nixon & Associates was also recently selected by the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA), a major trade association for the pipeline industry, to prepare a comprehensive strategic communications plan designed to assist the industry in communicating with a variety of important stakeholder audiences.
