Bob Reda is a Board Certified Industrial Hygenist and a Board Certified Safety Professional and has been affiliated with Nixon & Associates since 2001. He has 25 years of increasing responsibilities within Fortune 200 organizations in providing professional leadership, management, and coordination in the disciplines of safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, property conservation, emergency management, and medical monitoring programs. Within the various companies' operating structures, he has consistently reduced their exposure and liability, facilitated significant cost savings, and achieved regulatory compliance through integration of these disciplines into the operational strategies for each company.
Bob holds a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Michigan, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Health and an Associate of Science Degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Ferris State College.
Bob has developed corporate policies and procedures for Cooper Industries Inc., Dow Chemical, General Electric, and GTE. He has developed turnkey modules/blueprint programs for facilities in an ISO format which standardize, customize, and easily implement difficult regulatory compliance issues/programs. He has broad expertise in Hazard Communications, Respiratory Protection, Confined Space Entry, Personal Protective Equipment, Hearing Conservation, Lockout-Tagout, Ergonomics, Radiation Protection, Asbestos Management, Heat Stress Protection, Bloodborne Pathogens, Accident Investigaton, Job Safety Analysis, Medical Monitoring for Asbestos, Lead, and Silica, Access to Employee Medical and Exposure Records, Fork Lift Safety, Electrical Safety, Mechanical Power Presses, Machine Safeguarding, and Emergency Response. Bob has also developed specialized training programs for behavior modification, safety recognition and award programs, safety and health leadership workshops for upper management, auditor training, product liability issues, and Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER).
